Learning intention: What ways can we show our values/beliefs to people?
Prior knowledge: Taking Action What can we do with what we have learnt? How can we take some action? What does it mean to be Australian? Could we show our values/beliefs in some way to some people? Steer class towards singing 'I am Australian' to show tolerance towards all people in Australia. Aboriginal Art Incursion Activity: Take students around the exhibition as a class. Get them to discuss what they have learnt and how can they apply this new skills and knowledge elsewhere. Students can write in their reflective journals and discuss in class with on the floor presentations. Resources:
Curriculum: To study one significant narrative, myth or celebration from the past. Country and Place to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who belong to a local area.
